Casinos weren't Built on Winners!

From my experience of previously working in Nevada casinos and my friends over at IGT who make the slot machines have mentioned about the machines' colors & placement are strategically placed to make it appear that everyone is winning, but we know the opposite is true.

If the old slots were warm when one places their hand in the payout slot the machine was ready to pay out big, but if cold no way because it already paid. The slot cards killed this.

Also, 97% winner claims mean you are losing 3% every pull or game play & it only takes about 33 times before you lose you whole dollar or 100%. Many people play alot more & much longer than that.

The NFL versus the CFL - Friday, September 8, 2006, 06:50 PM EST

The CFL is a different type of game played by different types of players at positions with different responsibilities. The NFL is the best marketed sports product in the world. It has the hype that sells. The NFL game is very, very structured. They require players who can play a highly structured game. There are reads off of reads off of reads. There is not a lot of improvisation. Frankly, there is no room for it. In the NFL, there are huge bodies on a relatively small field. There is no separation between down lineman making athleticism secondary to size in line play. Running backs, linebackers and even quarterbacks need to be of a certain body type in order to succeed. I used to have this argument with people who would always refer to Sam Mills. They would say "There is a 5'9" linebacker succeeding in the NFL." It does happen. But this scenario is so anomalous it is noteworthy. This is the point, in the CFL small players don't draw that type of attention because it is normal.

CFL players are selected on the basis of talent. The large field opens the game up and allows improvisational talents to be utilized. We have seen running backs of all shapes and size in our league. Do you remember Robert Mimbs? He did not look like a running back. He did not hit the line hard or run with power. He could move laterally like no one else and he could read the play. He could pick and slide his way through the line of scrimmage. This was his talent and few could match him in this regard. The CFL is a game that allowed Robert Mimbs use his unparalleled lateral abilities. In the NFL, these skills are useless. It's all about hitting the line and hitting it hard. The CFL is more talent focused.

Gizmo Williams and Pinball are players the NFL would consider too small. Their talent and athleticism were superior to any NFL returner. The CFL provided a game that enables talent to overcome size. That is what the CFL game does. It allows talent to overcome size. You cannot claim that the athletes are inferior. That is far too simplistic and ignores so much. How many times have we seen NFL players come to the CFL and fall flat on their face. Lots. Particularly quarterbacks. Vince Ferragamo, Eric Kramer, Lee Saltz and many more. Winnipeg has Tee Martin, his NFL credentials created the assumption he would be an effective CFL quarterback. He can throw, but he can't survive outside an incredibly structured game matrix. This is why he cannot succeed. Tim Rosenbach signed with Hamilton some years ago. He was supposed to be the next great quarterback. He is an NFL style passer. It does not work in the CFL. You don't have all day to sit in a short pocket and wait for a play to develop. Rosenbach was a flop. CFL quarterbacks need more skills. The only NFL style QB to ever have success was David Archer because of his intelligence. Doug Flutie succeeded because he is a CFL style quarterback. Doug could improvise, create and execute. He was the best I've ever seen. No one could match what he did in the CFL.

Brett Favre and Steve Young are quarterbacks who would have had CFL success, but I doubt they would have matched Flutie. Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick and Duante Culpepper are great quarterbacks, especially McNabb, 20 years ago these men would have been CFL quarterbacks. The CFL, on many occasions in the past, has benefitted from the best quarterbacks. The CFL still has access to many of the best athletes at quarterback because of the size requirements for an NFL quarterback. An NFL quarterback needs to be tall enough to find passing lanes through enormous linemen. A CFL quarterback can move the pocket and use his mobility to create his own passing lane.

I could continue a position by position breakdown but that would take hours. The bottom line is that CFL athletes are second to none. The NFL has all the hype but you must look beyond hype to substance. Rod Rust was a very successful NFL coach. He says many of the best athletes he coached were CFL players. Different game played by different players at different positions. Highly structured vs. continually changing.

If the NHL were to remove the red line, play on olympic sized ice and call penalties for obstruction, you would see personnel changes galore in the NHL. They would need different players. This may already be happening. The NHL may desire players who can be creative and fast rendering the large-bodied grinders less effective. What does everyone want to see? A different game requires different abilities. There are similarities and constants, but we cannot assume that differences relate to quality. Furthermore, we cannot look at the salaries involved and expect that to be an accurate barometer of quality, it doesn't work.

You Cannot Escape To Your Own Island - America Might Invade You

Unfortunately, one cannot escape & go buy an island somewhere & form your own country because insecure, no class America (ok, maybe just the Government, CIA, etc.) will come & invade it.

Especially, if they do not like you. Maybe, it is a bravado "thing" - just to show off, knowing their nation is too small & don't "really" have the capability to fight the U.S. back (see Grenada, Panama, etc.). I don't see how these "little places" were a threat (but that is a different story). I think it is "control freak" issue - on a international scale.

However, any nation that challenges me. I can fight back & destroy this whole planet easily (& turn it into an asteroid belt) with no help from wimpy humans. You were warned!

Yes, I am perfect - because I am not human (there are more of us here, than you think). Remember, To Serve Man (a Twilight Zone episode).

Tobacco Smokers - How Stupid Are You

Someone made a stupid a$$ comment to me the other day, "Real men smoke". What an ignorant comment. This same person, along with over 80% of the people in the industry I am employed in, smoke like a forest fire - no, make that a chimney. Many of those same people act as if their smoking is some kind of glorified act. Morons - you knew the hazards. "Beating your chest" in defiance does Not add common sense.

I guess they want to be like the Marlboro Man - even though many of them died due to lung-cancer.

I even know people who still smoke cigarettes at an alarming rate. One just had lung surgery & another has a "hole in his throat" - yet they continue to smoke as much as before. Stupid, I don't feel sorry for them, I tell them they got exactly what they deserved! Should have quit & saved the money!

Other people have died from lung cancer due to second-hand smoke, when they never smoked a day in their life.

No one smokes near me - otherwise, I would kick their a$$ & they would smoke through only one hole - their a$$hole! Which requires sitting on their cigarette or "stogie".

Tobacco smokers have this incessant need to share their smoke with everyone around them. Smokers are selfish, self-important people who do Not care about anyone but themselves. This includes family members & friends. In my observation, tobacco smokers are some of most weak-willed, no internal willpower, scummy, broke, stupid, loser people - I have ever met.

Hey, I quit drinking from around 2 gallons (7.57 Litres) daily of hard alcohol (not weak beer) for approximately 25 years - cold turkey, without going to rehab. It was "hell" for about 2 months, while going back to a workplace - where I could all the alcohol I wanted for free - everyday. Eventually, I conquered (almost 15 years ago)!

Just like the trash collector, if you are around something long enough, you become immune to it. That still does not mean you don't stink, because you "Reek"! - the smoke gets into the fibers of your clothes, bedding, couches, car upholstery, etc. but the smoker cannot smell it & do not care what anyone else thinks or says. It is called desensitization.

I can even smell the "smoke trail" you leave, after you come back in from outside. I, myself, have an allergy to tobacco smoke.

The tobacco industry will downplay or deny it all (all the facts, that is) through "money control", political lobbyists, etc. because they stand to lose a lot of money & influence - thus, "big tobacco" and anyone else involved will stop at nothing to gain more "ground"/market share. Unfortunately, you know they are winning through worldwide deception.

Elite Manipulation, Not Freedom

Can anyone explain why there seems to be a recession every 10 years or less ?
which has been the norm since the Great Depression of the 1930's.

I think it is because of the elites are afraid of lower classes taking more of their wealth and expecting more & more - so they create an artificial recession so people feel lucky just to have their jobs and forget about taking any part of the upper classes/elites wealth.

Am I the only one who notices this reoccurring trend against most people on earth by the elites. This is manipulation, Not freedom!

Does Mexico Really Want To Defeat The Drug Cartels

Then the Mexican government needs to "sack up" and use the drug cartels tactics against them. Leave "cartel employee" dead bodies as a warning and be even nastier than their current strategy.

Don't just arrest - shoot these leaders, their accomplices, and their relatives. Put it on National TV to show your opponents that you "mean business". Collateral damage be dammed!

Firebomb & destroy cartel compounds from the sky, if needed. For example, spray Agent Orange or Nuke a town to show - that you plan on winning. Even go as far as attacking the source, even another nation. Kill all prison & jail inmates to prevent cartel "ranks swelling".

It doesn't matter how you win - as long as you win. But, I am the only one who has the "balls" to use any means necessary to "get the job done".

Canada Should Punish Gary Bettman As A Spy

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman (along with his buddy David Stern) is a Mossad/CIA spy sent to destabilize Canada. Their goal was to destroy an ingrained part of Canadian culture - hockey. Why not start with the "top" league in the world - The National Hockey League ? This is only the beginning

The reason is for future American imperialism expansion - the eventual goal is to make Canada - a U.S. Territory like Puerto Rico.

This will happen within the next 50 years.

A History of U.S. Military Interventions since 1890

So, next time Gary Bettman arrives in Canada. Arrest him, then shoot him as a spy - Against Canada! Whoever "sides" with Bettman - shoot them too!

Take What You Want, Then More

In football, I hear all the time "we took what the defense, what the defense gave us." I say that is too passive & wrong!

I say, in the spirit of General George Patton, "you take what you want, then take more, & finally take it all!"

Do Not allow anyone to dictate to you. I guarantee, no one dictates to me and still exists.

Great Sports Coaches - My Standard is Higher

I have a higher standard than the ready to anoint someone as "Great" by the current media sensationalist, public relations, hype-machine. (Remember, the media has to create personalities, drama, etc. to be relevant & stay in business)

On my great coaches list - the individual has to be at least very good (championship contender) to championship level with every team, at some point there, that he led as a head coach, manager, etc.

This list would exclude Bill Belichick (Cleveland Browns), Vince Lombardi (Washington Redskins), Bill Parcells (New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys) - death is no excuse for Vince. Some of those teams were awful. Many others considered "great coaches" by the media would Not qualify for my list.

On the other hand - some qualifiers for my list are: Tom Landry (Dallas Cowboys), John Madden (Oakland Raiders), Scotty Bowman (Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings), Phil Jackson (Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers), Al Davis (1960's AFL Oakland Raiders head coach) - just to name a few.

However, if one on my "great coach" list comes back & leads a bad team as a head coach/manager - then he or she would "drop-off" my list.

Don Coryell Deserves a Place in Football's Hall

Why is Don Coryell Not in the pro Football Hall-of-Fame ? Maybe because he didn't win a Super Bowl ?

Bill Walsh is known as the "father" of the "West Coast Offense". However, he is not the developer, creator, or innovator of the West Coast offense. That would be Sid Gillman and carried on by Don Coryell. Every time you watch football on Sundays - every team is running a variation of the Don "Air" Coryell offense. Mike Martz said that the St. Louis Rams "Greatest Show on Turf" teams ran the exact (even the same exact terminology) offense created by Coryell over 40 years earlier.

Kellen Winslow (a Hall of Famer) said it best when he said if the Hall of Fame voters don't induct Coryell for his contributions to the game of football, then the voters do not know football and should not determine who "gets in" or not. He said they should be replaced by those who recognize innovators and contributors to football.

Ali is Not the Greatest

Muhammad Ali is Not the greatest (as he claimed) heavyweight boxer of all time. Maybe, he is the greatest boxing "showman" or "big mouth"!

Rocky Marciano is the greatest boxing heavyweight because he didn't lose - Rocky retired undefeated (which speaks for itself). While, Ali suffered some losses during his time.

Larry Holmes was much closer to retiring with no losses, but lost some matches near the end of his career. Plus, Holmes kicked Ali's a$$ in the ring.

There was a computer simulation in the late 1960's / early 1970's (and I believe this was shown on television then) that "plugged in" attributes of all of the great boxing heavyweights of all time. The "early version computer game" had Rocky Marciano knocking Ali out late in the final match. The tapings for the simulation were finished just before Marciano's death in a plane crash.

Wilt Chamberlain is the NBA King - No One Else

I would take Wilt Chamberlain over Michael Jordan any day as the greatest pro basketball of all time - it is not even close. Even a 50 year Chamberlain would dominate Jordan in a one-on-one contest. Jordan would get "sh*t swatted" & there is no way Jordan could stop "The Big Dipper".

Chamberlain was not the biggest player in the NBA in his time. unlike Mike, Wilt did not get favorable treatment from the league & referees - they did everything to try to stop him. Yet, Wilt never "fouled out" of a game, at any level. The only thing that slowed Chamberlain - is that a few coaches wanted him to sacrifice his scoring for "the good of the team" and play much more defense and rebound.

Remember, Wilt has his best games against other Hall-of-Famers, who were very familiar with his tendencies since they played against each other more frequently due to less teams and players. Not the talent-deluded & way-over media hyped league Michael Jordan played in (The NHL was as Popular then, if not more so). Plus, Chamberlain was on some teams that were devoid of any talent & thus was triple-team often.

If I recall one season, didn't Wilt average 50 points & 30 rebounds per game for a whole season - while being the single focus of opposing teams. There is no doubt, He could have done this every year, if so desired & everyone would have been powerless to stop him. Also, Wilt left the NBA for the ABA San Diego Conquistadors (blocked by the Lakers - so retired) at an earlier time than Jordan.

Plus, Wilt was a lot better athlete at other sports, like volleyball, than Jordan's terrible baseball career.

If Wilt was still alive - I believe he would whip Mike's a$$ - even today.

As for Kobe Bryant or LeBron James of today's super-hyped, individual star-driven NBA of today - forget about it! They don't belong in this discussion as of right now.

Not Cool Retarded Crooked Hat Wearers

To those who have their hats on "crooked" / "cocked off center"/ "ghetto", while wearing them (instead of wearing "straight-on", like a normal person) - Let me tell you now. It is not cool, if you think it is, then you are an idiot!

What the perception is among intelligent individuals is that it looks retarded and makes you look like a moron.
